Speaker's Bureau

A benefit of membership and open to all NAWBO-BRC members, and other women business organizations throughout the state. The purpose of this Speakers Bureau is two-fold:

  1. To offer education, training and motivation to women business owners and other women in business.
  2. To allow NAWBO-BRC members to get exposure throughout Maryland among their peers and through other women's business groups.

The speaking topics are of relevance to all women in business, whether you are an independent contractor or the president of a multi-million dollar enterprise.

By joining the NAWBO-BRC Speakers Bureau, you will get exposure to an ever growing list of other organizations and education groups that will receive an updated copy of the Speakers Bureau list at least semi-annually. Speakers will also get exposure to other women business organizations throughout the state.

Veronica Cool is Vice President with the Business Banking Division for Wachovia Bank, a Wells Fargo Company, with 15 years of experience in the financial industry, specializing in cash management, credit & depository operational solutions.

During the 2006 and 2007, she was recognized as the #1 Small Business Banker in the country for the corporation and ended #2 in 2008, acquiring more than $16MM in deposits by year-end of 2007 and $24MM in Credit Production for Wachovia.

She holds a BS from Kutztown University and a Masters of Science in Finance from Loyola University. She serves on the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Maryland, Baltimore Chapter of NAWBO, the National Association of Women Business Owners, and the Maryland Hispanic Business Chamber of Commerce.

In January 2008, she was appointed by the MD Governor to the Statewide Commission for Hispanic Affairs. Additionally, Dialogue in Diversity, presented her with the Distinguished Achievement Award - New Generation of Business Leaders. In 2007, she was Chairwoman of the 6th Annual MD Hispanic Business Conference, the largest Hispanic Business event in the State. She recently served on Governor O’Malley’s Transition Team. She has also been recognized as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women by the Daily Record and one of Maryland’s Most Influential People by Channel Magazine.

She has spoken nationally in several forums addressing financial advocacy/literacy, entrepreneurial capitalization, and women/minority business enterprises topics.
